Trial, billing, and seats

One organization subscription, one seat per person.

CrystalSlate uses straightforward per-authorized-user pricing, with a seven-day read-only evaluation before payment is required.

Seven-day read-only trial

No card is required to begin. The trial includes supported read-only Assets workflows and Settings. It does not include Users, Groups, Activity, or write workflows.

Add a payment method before trial end to continue. If no payment method is present, the trial subscription ends and the workspace locks until a new paid subscription is started.

Monthly or annual

  • Monthly: $7.99 USD per authorized user each month.
  • Annual: $79.99 USD per authorized user each year, paid upfront.
  • Annual billing saves $15.89 per person compared with twelve monthly payments.
  • Taxes may be added where required. Larger-team discounts require a sales-assisted written quote.

How multiple seats work

  1. The subscription owner chooses the total authorized-user quantity during checkout and occupies seat 1.
  2. Stripe creates one organization subscription with that quantity.
  3. The owner opens Account → Users & seats and invites one distinct person into each open seat.
  4. Invitees create or use their own CrystalSlate accounts. Sharing an account is not permitted.

A five-person team therefore has one subscription with quantity five—not five separate subscriptions.

Adding, removing, and changing billing

  • Additional seats are purchased immediately and prorated by Stripe.
  • Removing a person frees their slot under the reassignment policy but does not lower the purchased quantity.
  • Seat decreases and monthly/annual interval changes are not self-service yet because they must be scheduled for renewal and checked against occupied seats.
  • Cancellation is scheduled for period end and can be undone before then.

What Stripe manages

The account owner opens the secure Stripe Billing Portal for payment methods, invoices, billing address, and tax IDs. CrystalSlate never handles card numbers. Subscription price and quantity switching remain disabled in Stripe so the CrystalSlate seat rules cannot be bypassed.
