This beta is for approved organizations and trusted administrators. Start with your approved work email domain, connect with your own Smartsheet token, then validate read-only workflows before any sandbox writes.

Access Gate First

CrystalSlate checks your work email domain before any Smartsheet token screen appears. This keeps the private beta limited to approved organizations while OAuth registration is still deferred.

1 Use your work emailEnter the email address from the approved customer domain, such as your company address. Personal email domains will stop before token entry.
2 Continue to token modeAfter the domain gate passes, paste your own Smartsheet Personal Access Token in Settings. CrystalSlate support should never receive your token.
3 Ask for help if blockedIf your organization should have access but the gate blocks you, email CrystalSlate with your company, work email domain, expected Smartsheet role, and browser.

Before You Start

Confirm beta access

Your work email domain must belong to an approved active CrystalSlate beta customer. If the gate blocks you, request access before creating a new Smartsheet token.

Create your token

In Smartsheet, open Personal Settings, then API Access, and generate a Personal Access Token for your own account.

Choose sandbox targets

Identify test sheets, groups, and users before using write workflows. Start every beta pass with read-only tools.

Read-only checks

  • Confirm Settings connects successfully.
  • Load Assets metadata for accessible workspaces and sheets.
  • Review Governance snapshot tabs.
  • Check Access diagnostics for visible and unavailable features.
  • Export one read-only CSV if your organization wants a beta artifact.

Sandbox write checks

  • Add one test row to a sandbox sheet after confirming the target sheet ID.
  • Add one test column to a sandbox sheet with a clearly temporary name.
  • Run one group add/remove cycle with a test user only.
  • Verify Activity records the write actions.

Feedback And Diagnostics

Ongoing diagnostics

In Settings, the diagnostics checkbox is an ongoing opt-in. When enabled, future anonymous browser and portal errors are sent until you turn it off.

One-time issue report

The Report Issue text box is separate. Use it to describe a specific problem, then send a one-time report with basic anonymous portal context.

Known Beta Boundaries

CrystalSlate is in controlled preview. Hosted OAuth, subscription billing, and formal support SLAs are not part of this beta pass.
